Ovenden 42 v Stanley Rangers 10

A hat trick of tries from Ovenden's Liam Walsh helped set Ovenden on their way to victory over promotion rivals Stanley Rangers, 42-10.
The home side took the lead with a Matt Dawson try before tries from Stanley's John Nunns and Mark Robinson plus a conversion from Ben Gale had Stanley well on the way. However, the host's replied with a Walsh try, converted by Gareth English before a further try from Brett Durkin gave the home side a narrow 14-12 lead at the interval.
After the break, Brent Steele scored a try in the 44th minute and with further tries from Walsh, Thurkill, Hastings and Lister, Ovenden overwhelmed Stanley, despite the best efforts of second row James Howcroft.

Stanley: Tries - Nunns, Robinson. Goals - Grice .
