Salford Roosters beat Stanley Rangers 28-18 despite a strong fightback by Rangers. Salford's points came from tries by a brace from White and Higgins and  Trimble, with four goals by White. Rangers had a first half try by John Nunns, converted by Danny Grice. The second half saw Rangers pull back with a further try by Nunns and Robert Hartley with goals by Grice.
    Next weekend - the 12th May - Rangers are away at Wigan St Judes.
