Stanley Rangers ARLFC

It's a big week for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 with four teams battling it out in the semi finals, with both matches are being shown at the clubhouse. On Friday night it's Australia v New Zealand, kick off at 7.45pm.
On Saturday - 12th November - it's England v Samoa in a replay of the opening game of the tournament. The game kicks off at 2.30pm and the doors are open from 1pm. Everyone is welcome so come along and enjoy the game on the big screen!
The Final will be played at Old Trafford on Saturday November 19th, kicking off at 4pm.

FANTASTIC FUND RAISING AT STANLEY RANGERS

Back in August we saw various volunteers/players and coaches take part in our annual fundraising challenge. The task was enormous - the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours - but proved that yet again when needed we all come together to defeat challenges. Thanks to everyone for your generous donations and sponsorship we raised our biggest total to date - £8,700.72. These funds will help us to provide all our teams with equipment again for the 2023 season and improve the pitch and surrounding area. We donated £1,500 to each of the charities we supported in the Challenge - Andy's Man Club and Prostate Cancer UK and would like to thank again the companies who donated food, the team bus and gave our team much needed support.

PSYCHIC EVENING AT THE CLUB

On Friday 2nd December there will be a psychic evening with Chantelle Lockhart at Stanley Sports and Social Club at 7.30pm, with the doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are £15 and can be obtained at the clubhouse, sending a message on our Stanley Rangers ARLFC Facebook page or by phoning or texting on 07841 667797 or 07432 704377. This will be a chance to explore the psychic and spirit realms with medium Chantelle.

Christmas is fast approaching so it's never too early to plan to enjoy the Stanley Rangers Xmas Party! This will be held on Saturday 10th December at 2pm and everyone is welcome. There'll be games, food and DJ Elf to keep everyone entertained. This event is being organised by our Under 8s team so contact Chris Brown for more information. Get your Xmas jumpers out and get ready for a fun afternoon!

See the Old Year out and the New Year in with Stanley Rangers at the Stanley Sports & Social Club. The evening begins at 7pm til late and there will be karaoke and a family disco. A great way to celebrate with friends and family at your club.

A new section in the website is now online, putting together the biographies of Stanley Rangers players who have passed away. John Lindley, David Sampson and Malcolm Sampson all achieved successful rugby league careers and it is only fitting that we should remember not only their rugby achievements but their family lives.
